Building Livelihood Resilience in a Changing Climate
What do practitioners in development, environmental conservation and disaster risk reduction have in common? Quite a lot, it happens. All are concerned about the impacts of climate change on ecosystems and human livelihoods, now and in the future.
The organisers of this conference, Wetlands International South Asia with Cordaid and Ekgaon, find that specialists from these sectors often ‘speak in different languages’ and fail to share learnings, despite their common concern. This conference on Building Livelihood Resilience in a Change Climate brings together experts from all these sectors, to exchange experiences, identify common challenges and opportunities and develop further innovations. Participants are presenting case studies from across Asia, including Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh and Myanmar.
The debate is being livestreamed, and abstracts can be downloaded, on the conference website.
The conference is sponsored by CDKN and IDRC.
