This interactive event will showcase a practical tool developed by CDKN and Ricardo Energy & Environment, to support developing countries with planning for NDC implementation (Planning for NDC implementation: A Quick-Start Guide; www.cdkn.org/ndc-guide).

The tool will be piloted in Kenya and Uganda, and builds on the long-standing working relationships built between CDKN, Ricardo and the respective Governments. This event will highlight steps taken to accelerate progress on planning for NDC implementation. Kenya and Uganda will share insights from the pilots, and reflect on their experience to date with NDC implementation.

Bangladesh will showcase the work it has done in preparing a roadmap for NDC implementation, including the development of sectoral action plans (Power, Industry and Transport) as well as a deeper understanding of institutional capacity and capability requirements. Through the application of the NDC Quick Start Guide, it is anticipated to complement on-going efforts with regards to resource mobilisation and enhanced access to climate finance.
