NEWS: Sea level rise threatens Caribbean

Next you will hear a short clip released by WLRN Miami-South Florida, about the threats that the Caribbean is facing as a result of sea level rise.

Experts like Ulric Trotz of CCCCC’s say that in 50 years, if current models are correct, the entire landscape of the Caribbean would have changed, its beaches disappeared, coastal zones eroded and infrastructure degraded.

In addition, the critical role played by the funding to implement adaptation measures is mentioned, especially considering that the Caribbean is home of five of the 12 most indebted countries on earth.
